I''ve made a game and ofcourse, pictures and stuff loads into the RAM and it takes memory. How much memory is it okey for the game to take? Let''s see, my game will require at least a 500MHz computer so it would be strange if someone has less then 128 in RAM. Well, let''s say that that the game is played on a computer with 128 RAM... how much memory can my game steal? =) I have no clue so say what you think..

You do not want it to start swapping, so no more than 2/3 of the physical memory. A game can usually get away with consuming all available resource, so probably can take up to that limit. However, when you aquire the memory, the OS will most likely need to swap out much of your memory, which will cause your game startup to be _really_ slow.

I don''t have much experience with this, but my qualified guess would be, if you target a minimum of 128 MB RAM, do keep your memory usage at most around 64 MB. You should structure your game so you can cope with using a minimum amount of memory, but be able to take advantage when more is available.
