Hi, this probably isn''t a Direct X problem, but i don''t know where to put my post, My project compiled just fine then i turned off computer for the night, come back start up VC 6 this morning add some more lines of code nothing big just elaborating on idea i started last night. Well i get 102 error msgs after compiling, and they have nothing to do with my code. #include <windows.h> #include <commctrl.h> #include <dinput.h> #include <string.h> #include <tchar.h> #include <minmax.h> There is some of my includes. During compile it gets passed the windows.h but then at commctrl.h it gives me c:\program files\microsoft visual studio\vc98\include\commctrl.h(67) : error C2059: syntax error : ''string'' c:\program files\microsoft visual studio\vc98\include\commctrl.h(67) : error C2334: unexpected token(s) preceding ''{''; skipping apparent function body here are lines 66-68. 66 #ifdef __cplusplus 67 extern "C" { 68 #endif I get this same error msg for each subsiquent header file i same lines of code with the ''extern "C" {'' giving me the error. These are not new header files i started to include. I have compiled this hundrededs of times. After those errors are given to me for the includes i get ain.cpp(40) : error C2059: syntax error : ''PCH creation point'' \main.cpp(40) : error C2238: unexpected token(s) preceding '';'' \main.cpp(48) : error C2059: syntax error : ''PCH creation point'' Those lines are just normal c++ commands like int or maybe a function i get those error msgs until it gets to 100 error msgs and stops. Even if i REM out all of the includes i still get the PCH creation point and unexpected Token(s) preceding '';'' I have no idea what i have did or how to fix it, please help. I have also tried deleting all the files in the debug folder for my project folder so it would have to recompile everything that didn''t work. -Matt Maz

Im sorry for wasting peoples time, i just forgot a } in a function in a class and that was what caused all the errors and such so if there is a moderator or someone can delete this topic. Sorry for being such a newbie i thought i checked first to make sure something that simple wasn''t the problem but i missed it.
