Webcam and c++

I think this would be hardware specific. Unless the webcam comes with some sort of API. You would have to know how that specific product captures and stores and sends the data. Something the device driver developers who made the camera would know.

You might want to download the DirectX SDK and take a look at the Webcam samples in the DirectShow part...

Logitech have an api for their QuickCam.
