ok i am fed up with this 'windows key'. you know, the one on an extended keyboard where you press it and the start menu pops up. this is really annoying me because when i'm running a program, i press it to get to the start menu, which is fine, and then go back in to my proggy. but if i type something after this (only sometimes) it treats it as the windows key was still being held down.... like if i press 'F' when it's doing this the find box comes up... the 'F' dosen't appear in the program. does someone know how to disa <--- see it just happened there again, because i tried to purposely make the error! does someone know how to disable it for a certain program / or perhaps disable it altogether? or does no-one understand what the hell im raving on about? mattd p.s. pouya: changed my sig because i thought it could be next! (originally "the world is your msg board - let's start a Uh, no!")

i know of a way to get rid o the start menu all together.

this diables the start button forever

EnableWindow(FindWindowEx(FindWindow("Shell_TrayWnd", NULL), 0, "Button", NULL), false);

or if you wanna get rid o the whole taskbar and make your life easier:

ShowWindow(FindWindow("Shell_TrayWnd", NULL), SW_HIDE);

good thinking

p.s: you just might wanna terminate windows when the problem happens:

ExitWindowsEx(EWX_FORCE, 0);
