Generally, asnwers to these simple questions can be found at Mathworld.

yeah, thanx, but i already know the formula for an elipse, i was wondering if there was a preset function, or a combination of functions that could be used to make one.

1) Mathworld isn''t just that one page. The search box is somewhere around there...
2) Meh? What "preset function"?

glDrawEllipsoid doesn''t exist if thats what you mean
If you know the equation then you should use triangles to construct the surface

A better idea would be to draw a unit sphere using gluSphere and then scale it using glScalef(width, height, depth)

I was almost tempted to create an ellipsoid drawing function but the gluSphere and scale approach I didn''t think of, hehe.
