Hi, When I try and run a simple program to determine which profiles are available. All of them are unavailable even though I''m using a GeForceFX. If I insert a call to glutCreateWindow magically they become available. I guess this is because glut activates the correct extensions - despite much searching I can''t find a small, simple and clear example for how to load the GL_ARB_vertex_program (and other) extensions so the Cg runtime can use them. I''d rather not use on the libraries that automatically load all of them, so if anyone out there can help I''d much appreciate it. Regards, Andrew Wilkinson

I''d guess that glutCreateWindow will create an OpenGL rendering context for your app (may be called something different on linux, but it doesn''t really matter) and that Cg will need to have an OpenGL rendering context available before it can work out what profiles are supported. So basically query Cg for available profiles after OpenGL initialization and it should work.
