Amazing movie. It''s one of those movies that (almost ) makes you cry.

Definitely a good movie. Tons of wonderful performances, and one of the most genuinely heartfelt efforts I''ve ever seen from Tim Burton. Even the bit at the end, where giant robots destroy humanity, didn''t detract much.

I saw it and thought it was great. It was only fitting to stay and watch all the credits, even if janitors were sweeping under your feet. Great story.

Heh, I have not seen the movie yet. Part of it was filmed in the same county I live in though.. (Tallapoosa County, Alabama).

I was appalled by the references to the sick and twisted practice of Ictaluridaphilia.

Yup. Ictaluridae is the family of North American freshwater catfishes.

Those sickos...

It definitely was a very emotional movie in parts. I did think it dragged in other parts, but overall the experience was very positive. I didn''t hear about any nominations for it, though. Did it get shafted by the Academy?

I believe it missed the deadline, and is in the running for next year. I expect it will get a best picture nod when the time comes.
