Right now I have a kernel module that is dynamically loaded at boot time, how can I change this module so that it is statically linked to the kernel instead? Thanks for your help --Andrew

Last time I checked, you would recompile the kernel and specify the module to be built as part of the kernel instead of loaded as a module.

I figured that much, how can I specify it to be built as part of the kernel though? (Yes, i''m relatively new to linux )

When you do menuconfig you can specify how the module is loaded. I think you press space (haven''t done it in a while). The letter that shows up will notify you if the module will be compiled into kernel or ran dynamically. Just look for help in menuconfig for more details.
