what, you have a hard math problem ? [lol][lol]

No, I don't do hard math problems for fun unless they are strongly related to video games and programming.

Whoa, did you just use "math" and "fun" in the same sentence?

OMFG.

edit: And, after glancing over your profile, all I have to say is: LOL. Do you actually have any interest in game development, or do you just use the Lounge to get homework help? [grin]

I thought you said "meth lab"

As for problems, I wouldn't do them if I didn't have to.. but when doing them, I do very much enjoy seeing the pieces of the problem falling together as it becomes simpler and closer to solution. It's not nearly entertaining enough to do it purely for fun though.. there's plenty of other problems I could solve in that time..

well I used to do tons of "complex looking" derivates and integrals just to see if I cold get the same answer that my symbolic calculator spit out. I thought it was pretty cool at the time but not very much fun since it usually took me like a page of writing and 15min or more to get the same answer the calculator spit out like under 1 sec. not to mention it wasn't like i had a choice since i was taking calculus in college at the time.

I sometimes do. I don't go seeking them out, but when there were math contests at my university, I tried doing the problems.

Hmm, I thought I was good at math but yesterday I realized
I had completely forgotten how to do long division...I had always used a calculator or used estimation. :)

I do. Math is fun. I have to keep my brain active during the summer holiday.
Why do my programs never work on other computers?

I find it rewarding to work through problems correctly. "For fun" implies that you are doing it purely for the enjoyment, which is not something I do - I work through problems for the sake of educating myself, any enjoyment I get out of it is icing on the cake.
