I posted some questions on a previous thread,but I wasn't clear enough so I hope the mods wouldn't mind if I start a new one. Does anyone here managed to use the sample framework with Visual Studio 6?Is it even possible?I try to build the samples in the DirectX SDK,but I get errors saying I'm missing "dimm.h" and "ucp10.h".I have installed the SDK extras correctly and replaced the lib with the VC6-compatible one,I can build my own apps,but I just can use the sample framework,because it requires these two headers.Is there any solution to this?

I found Dimm.h and usp10.h in my platform SDK's include folder. I don't think they come with VC6. Just download and setup the platform SDK and you're good to go [smile]
The SDK it's free, but it's a bit big; My memory says ~200 MB, so 99% it's like ~300 MB [grin]

Thanks for the quick reply.Jesus,I just finished downloading the ~210MB DirectX SDK on dial-up connection,now I have to download that too?Does anyone know if there is a place to download only those file,or maybe download just a component of Platform SDK,and not the whole thing?

I feel your pain mikeman, really. I had to go grab it at a broadband-enabled internet cafe back then - AFAIK It doesn't come in parts. And you can't just take a couple of headers - you need the big thing (all headers + library files).

hi,

@coder

well thats strange, which platform sdk do u have installed?
i got ms platform sdk for xp sp2 and i tried to build some samples from the nvsdk but dimm.h is also missing i didn't find it in the include folder or anywhere else. Do you know where this 'dimm.h' belongs and what it is good for?

I'm using the Feb 2003 PSDK - haven't got the SP2 one. The dimm.h file is in the include folder, but I have no idea what's it for

Hi,
In fact the headers are in the package "Headers and Libraries for Internet Explorer"...
You can find it there:
