jello shots

The difference between bad gin and ok gin and good gin is very large. Gin is good...if you have good gin. Otherwise it's TOTAL ass.

I've never made Jello shots before. I know that vodka and everclear are pretty commonly used, though.

I like vodka... and rum.

I just use vodka. I always have trouble working out how much vodka to put in though. If I put in too much, then it won't set. Too little and it has no effect. Well, if it doesn't set then you can just drink it :P

I recently started experimenting with jelly (Thanks Steve for all tips!!) great stuff!

Steve is right.

Jello is dangerous stuff, since it's difficult to judge how much is in the actual jello shots.

I mainly use vanella rum with strawberry jello.

real men drink this.

HAHAHA. I want one.

I use about 1/3 Vodka-Jello mix for mine. Let it set for a while. Should be ok.

Personally I like Gin and Whiskey (separately) either straight or mixed with random stuff... but I've never tried Jello. Interesting...

the absolute best is tequilla (with lemon or lime jello of course). that is, if you are into that kind of thing.

I absolutely recommend Everclear for jello shots. Then again, I recommend Everclear for everything.

If you want to give yourself a real treat, chase down every jello shot with one of Captain Morgans.

At first I assumed that it only tasted like ass because it was cheap crap. Then my brother and a couple of his friends said that even good gin tastes bad. I'll take your advice and try a good quality gin some time in the future.

Gin.. vodka.. whiskey.. rum.. the funny thing is that they all taste like a different household product (cough medicine, glue, and markers seem to be popular). Either way.. I can't stand mixed drinks with any of them.. I can easily stomach them by themselves (or mixed with themselves), though.

My friends and I make a drink we call the Dirty Maz, which is quite good, and involves gin. Let's see whether I can remember...(disclaimer...may not be accurate. I'll repost later whether this is accurate)

2 parts gin
2 parts rum
1 parts grenadine
1 part sweet and sour

And I believe that the sweet and sour and grenadine can be doubled.

Anyways, with good gin and even mediocre rum, this tastes a lot like cranberry juice, has a great taste (a bit strong of an aftertaste though) but it's pretty powerful.
