I got the error LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'LIBC.lib' and i couldn't find the file anywhere on my pc. Looking on the net it seems a pretty common library, is there any reason that i don't have it? I am using the MVStudio 2005 beta. Tnx.

This file should install w/ Vstudio - odd - I'd try to reinstall visual studio and see if that might fix it... ?

Nah, i searched whole gamedev.net for it, it wasn't there.

I'll search for it some more, i hope i can just copy the file from a previous msvs version without any trouble.

I fixed it by adding LIBCMT.lib to the ignore specific library list, it seemed LIBCMT.lib is the c++ version of libc.lib so they where in conflict.
(ow, and i got the libc.lib file from a previous msvs version.

libc.lib and libcmt.lib are standard c runtime libraries. libc.lib is included by default for single threaded applications, and libcmt.lib is used for multithreaded applications. There are also other versions of the libraries for debug builds and DLL's.

All these files should have come packaged with VS. Make sure you didn't do a custom install and accidently chose not to install them.

Seeing as how there may have been additions and changes to these libraries with VC++ 2005, using a copy of libc.lib from a previous version may cause linking problems for certain standard C functions.

ah, yes, i remember that someone told be something about ignoring it :)
strange thing is that i now have installed vs.net2k3 and it never had any trouble with the libc.lib :/
but i'm sure i didn't change something this time.
