I have a shockwave game downloaded. this game needs to be played from a location 'http://www.shockwave.com/blah/blah/blah/game.htm' in order to run. problem is, 'http://www.shockwave.com/blah/blah/blah/game.htm' does not (or no longer, rather) is in existance. I own a webserver. I figured I could put the ip of my webserver in my /drivers/etc/hosts file as 'www.shockwave.com' and run the game off of '[mywebsite]/blah/blah/blah/game.htm'. This would have worked normally, but during the process, I discovered I have a virtual domain. That is, if I enter the ip my webserver resolves to into a browser window, nothing comes up. Just a blank:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<html>
</html>
Is there any way I can set it up so that I can access a virtual domain using only its ip rather than typing in the domain name?
