Depends on how many you need and what time you're willing to put in. About $30 for mobo, $30 for ram, $30 for case, $50 for sempron cpu, and $60 for monitor,and for max $200 you have a pretty minimal but fast thin client. Netboot'em all and maintainance is even easier.

What's your intended purpose?

I need something that can be scaled to mass production. So "making it myself" isn't going to cut it. A proven existing system would be easier to utilize than creating my own system. By buying into a system I minimize the risk of "making it myself" by allowing another entity to focus soley on "making theirselves". I can't really divulge into more detail than that.
