Help With Visual Studio!

I am having trouble with Visual Studio. I am using DirectX, and I have to link those DLL right? So I go to the project Property page, where I go to Linker/Input. However, When I click on one of the choices(on the left tree structure) nothing shows uP!!! Here are some things that may screw me over: - I am using Visual Studio 2002 .NET IDE, but put in the 2003 optimizing compiler - To put in the optimizing compiler, I just copied everthing in the toolkit, and replaced stuff in the normal thing. Everything except for this works fine though.
