I need to convert characters into integers. I''ve read that atoi() does this. I don''t appear to have atoi(). Suggestions?

You probably don't really want atoi, you probably really want sprintf

DWORD now = clock();
DWORD elapsed = m_geGame->CalcFrameRate(now, &frame);
char stemp[80];
sprintf(stemp,"FrameRate: %.1fHz", frame);
m_stFrameRate->SetWindowText(stemp);

The trade-off between price and quality does not exist in Japan. Rather, the idea that high quality brings on cost reduction is widely accepted.-- Tajima & Matsubara
