Releasing book code

I want to release the source to a FPS I have, but I used some code from the first Game Programming Gems book. Can I distribute the book's code with my code or do I have to require you to buy the book? This is an old game that I just wanted to test some ideas on and I think it can serve better use for others. Thanks in advance for your input.
