I found a good quick subversion tutorial

I Just set up subversion and the server with the help of a nice a to the point tutorial here The tutorial is very short at takes you through the process of setting up a repository and then making svnserve run as a process on windows and setting up users. Worked great on win xp. Just thought i would let anyone interested know. Oh, how do you do links in a post. [Edited by - corrington_j on February 17, 2005 5:36:30 PM]

Any indication why? Or is your school just blocking all ports except the obvious ones?

I found the official documentation and the tigris.org mailing lists to be all I needed. Using that, I have successfully set up Subversion as our version control system at work running through Apache on Linux.

I looked at the subversion documentation, but it seemed so long, so I looked for a shorter tutorial to get me up and running. I'm not trying to knock the subversion docs, as they seem to have lots of info.

I think it's because most are blocked - but I would have to verify this. I'd assume they close down all ports except the main ones, but then again, messaging softwara works, so I'll have to give it a try to be sure. Thanks for pointing it out - there is a chance that they don't block it. [smile]
