This is a follow-up to the previous posting for a lead artist. I just spoke with the creative director, and he indicated that their most pressing need right now is actually for someone to do textutes, skins, and so on. This position CAN encompass all of the other qualifications that were mentioned, but it''s not necessary. In other words, if there''s an experienced 3D artist who wants to mentor the modellers and animators on the staff, while doing artwork for user interfaces and textures, then fine, but that''s not essential. Depending on the qualifications of the person who fills this position, the team lead position may end up having a different set of requirements, or the position may be filled with another artist who does not have team lead experience. Clear as mud? Sorry. My first conversation was with the CEO. The second conversation, with the creative director, indicated a different set of priorities, and seems to be more accurate. However, the good thing is that this opens up the hiring process to a broader range of candidates. If you would like to apply, or are just confused and would like more information, please write me at theard@jcmalone.com. (Or you can often catch me on ICQ.) Thanks in advance!
