G'day there, I am just starting up a relatively large uni software project for a robot simulator. Anyway we have opted to use Java3D as our development software. Can anyone here please point me in the direction of some helpful tutorials online, and online books etc... and perhaps and experience and known bugs that you recommend that we steer clear of? Thanks for any help you can offer. Cheers.

Before asking anywhere about Java, you should just check Java's home website.

http://java.sun.com/products/java-media/3D/collateral/index.html#tutorial

Then try JavaGaming.org: http://www.javagaming.org/cgi-bin/JGNetForums/YaBB.cgi

I know one. Go to http://www.codewarrioru.com. This one's done by Metrowerks and has good classes.

right here @ nehe.gamedev.net
Click on the tutorial links on the left hand side, then on the turorial you want to do and while you are at it get the source code of your flavor.

I am sure Nehe would also be happy to get a small donation. ;)
