c# books

Hi, Im studying computer science and Ive been programming c++ and java for quite some time (c++ about 6 years). Well Im looking for a good book on C#. If it also teaches some visual C# that would be a plus and some DirectX transition from c++ to C3 would be an even bigger plus. Basically I need something that goes fast not one of those books for absolute beginners but something for a smooth transition and reference. So whats the standard book out there? -CProgrammer

Microsoft C# Language Specifications. I got it to learn C# and just from looking through it, I know it will be no problem. Definitly a great book to look into. It does not cover DX or the transition from C++, but you won't need that because the way the book is setup, you will easily be able to follow along.

I enjoyed C# For Experienced Programmers (though it's by no means actually anything more than a slightly advanced beginner's book).
