Is it OK to PostQuitMessage(0) with out Destroying the window first?

Technically yes. Windows will cleanup everything owned by your application (including the window) when your application exits.Although it's cleaner to call DestroyWindow().

Often you put the call to PostQuitMessage() in your WM_DESTROY message handler, so calling DestroyWindow() will result in PostQuitMessage() being called anyway.
