I am currently building up a gaming network slowly but surely. I formerly worked at gamespy.com in which i worked on 3d action planet but i also built another network with the help of only 3 other people (gamingfusion.com). I am currently looking to build up a new network one that can combine all my knowledge from past bad and past good experiences and put it into one big winning formula. Right now i am in the process of putting the main network page up (the business end of it). If you''d like to see the one current network site we have check http://www.niteshade.net. It is a site based on GTA and will be exactly what other network sites will be based around. We alos have a site dedicated to Total Annihilation that will be showing up soon. I am looking for experienced CGI programmers, web designers, and graphic artists. I, personally, am a good CGI programmer, web designer and graphic artist but i know i can''t build a network with only myself. This will be a long term commitment but also one in which i''d rather have friendships then "business relations". If anyone is interested in this please feel free to reply. If you''d like to know mroe about my abilities just ask i assure you i''m no slacker i built http://www.niteshade.net by myself to what is now considered one of the top GTA sites. Here''s a quick reference of my abilities: HTML, Flash, VB6, Perl, Graphic Design (PS5), and a huge imagination and great business sense. Remember you can reply to this post or email me at webmaster@niteshade.net. We are also looking to get this network going ASAP but won''t be expanding into 50 sites in 5 days we will take it slow maybe a new site every 1-3 months maybe even take a little longer. Thanks for reading, Kevin "teknics" Kowal

Give up the idea of running it via CGI and Perl, grab a copy of IIS 5.0 and I can do some work for ya. Some sample work:

www.bworks.com (wife and I''s company 7 years in the design biz) Look to the clients page, lots.

www.vbdirectx.com <--- current pet site (Warning, got NS, don''t even bother going here)

"Five passengers set sail that day, for a three hour tour, a three hour tour...."

Actually my former/current network (gamingfusion.com) runs all ASP and i personally wasn''t amazed. I created a search engine in Perl between two forms encompassing only 113 lines. ASP was huge almost triple that to achieve same effect (and that''s without page formatting, and we had a pro do it for us)

So CGI and Perl is the way to go for a bunch of reasons. If we setup the network on IIS our hosted fan sites would need reasonable ASP knowledge, most of the game fan sites owners don''t care to learn ASP. Now everyone wants to try to learn CGI and it is well known that there are ton more CGI resources then ASP for the webmasters to use at will.

It may be personal opinion but i''d still rather stay at CGI and Perl (also becaus ei haven''t the foggiest about ASP so i wouldn''t have as much *presence* on the coding)
