hello does anyone know what method of integreation valves Half-life 2 uses? I just learned how to use RK4, and i'd be cool if thats what HL2 uses! //Emil

Hi Emil,

HL2 uses the Havok physics library. I've used this in the past, and it is configurable to select between different integration methods. RK4 does improve accuracy, but at a performance cost, so for games most people seem to just stick with plain old Euler integration. I suspect that HL2 does too, but I could be wrong.

hmm ok

what about verlet? from what ive learned its 4th grade accurate but takes very litte computation, comparable to euler.
