hello everybody, I have a problem, i did a direct3d application, two dlls and one exe. all of which r managed, and c#. in all 3 i use direct3d managed of course, the febuary 2005 one. it works find on my PC, i copy it to another PC, that only has .net framework installed, and the directX redestribution installed as well. when i open the application, it brings up an error as follows: "application has generated an exception that could not be handled" and it says click ok and cancel and some other stuff about JIT and debugger and so on, and displays some addresses as well. i tried first as it is , and its not working, then i thought of copy local the DLLs of the directx that i reference, and same problem. anybody knows wats the problem?

As for end-user computers I am not exactly sure what the problem could be but I would suggest reinstalling the end-user runtime from the DirectX site and seeing if that changes anything. I have also found that in my projects sometimes the version of DirectX that I am using within Visual Studio is incorrect so I suggest you take a look at which ones you are referencing and possibly deleting them and re-referencing them.

i tried the referenceing and then making the copy local property for all references and it still doesnt work.

but i havent tried the destribution pack still.

althought i installed it before and still didnt want to run.

Just a note about the redistributable packages. In the April 2005 release of the SDK the redistributable automatically installs the Managed DirectX runtime (the older versions would need a special command-line argument /installmanageddx to install it).
