Ok, i have this engine that runs this function just fine, but whenever i try to use it, it never works for me... i was thinking that i need to "Begin()" the sprite drawing but i didn't see it anywhere in the engine... any advice?

What never works? Does it crash, not compile, or not draw anything?
Do you get any error codes from Draw()?
What engine is it? Is it 2D only (ID3DXSprite)?
If you install the debug runtimes, you'll get error information displayed in the debug window.

it doesn't draw anything, but i think it's because i idnd't update and i was calling an old Draw(), havne't tried the new one yet but i have it now. no errors. my own engine i made. only ID3DXSprite
