Hey guys, As the title says I'm either looking to join an existing team or to start one up. If I was to join a team I would rather it be somewhat smaller. Also I realitivley new to game development but not a total beginer so keep that in mind. I would mostley join a team to learn new things and maybe new api's and what not. On the other hand if I get enough responses to make a team I have few projects in mind. Now before all you think I have no experiance and just want to do something. I will tell you my experiance as a (game) programmer. - I have had years of experiance in C/C++ and about a year in C#, so I know them for the most part. - I'm use to working in teams and have good leadership ablities. - I'm a seasoned gamer and know whats out there. - I know SDL and a few of the expansion libraries such as SDL_Image and SDL_ttf - Have taken (and for the most part understand) Calc 1-3 and linear algebra in college. - Know UML, XML and general design techniques. - Currently learning OpenGL to learn the basics of 3D programming. While I've messed arround a lot this game demo seem to be the only thing worth showing. It is a small tile based game that loads from a few xml files then you can run arround on the map and it has collision detection (very basic). Read the instructions on the linked page (2nd topic) to get it running, you really just need .Net and a few SDL libraries. I've really been want to make an full fledged rpg in the style of the older Final Fantasy (pre FF6). I was thinking it would be nice to have it in a top down view like FF's but also make it 3D so you could do some interesting effects and what not. But I'm not limited to this idea if you think your project might interest me. Anyways so if anyone is interested, message me back here or on AIM:Seoushisan.
