Behold... RikuPets

RikuPets.. Yes, 'another one of those virtual pet sites' is planning to become one of the top rated vpet sites by the end of the year. We have a Game Design Document at the moment, nothing too daunting, or huge, but small and simple. All of my contacts and links will be listed at the end of this post. All work is volunteer work. If any work is done for RikuPets your name will be on the credit list for the rest of RikuPets existance. Also any staff member can plug a link to his own website available for all of our users to view.

Artists

We need 2D artists that can create clean, colorful, and imaginative anti-aliased creatures, maps and items such as Apples, Soda Bottles, etc. The list goes on. Artists and WebDesigners can work hand-in-hand if needed. A good example of art we expect is http://neopets.com/ Their art is exactly the style we are looking for.

Web Designer

Also we need a really good web designer to design a page with an old-world Asian-y style. The plan is to have the backgrounds feature 'old parchment scroll paper', and the content boxes would look like seperate scrolls. The main banner at the top will have an old map as the background and many items/pets will be placed around the layout, with low opacity. That is when the artists and web designer work together. Web Designer, refer to the Design Document for a more indepth explanation of what we envision the layout to look like.

Programmers

I myself decided to venture into the jungle-of-a-world of PHP! I started the programming recently, Im making extremely slow but steady process. A PHP programmer or two would be really nice to speed up the development. At RikuPets our plan is to first implement all basic features (shops, pets, userlookups, guilds, etc.) then, together brainstorm and then incorporate a very unique idea that will set RikuPets apart from all of the others.
