I have this problem where the computer hangs when it gets to the "Windows is shutting down" sreen and so I have to manualy hit the power buttong to get it to shut off from there. I narrowed that issue down to the mobo.

If you're using 98, it's Windows, not the MB. It's a common problem, especially if you've got the thing networked. They released a patch ages back that half-fixed it. It still happens regularly on lots of machines though. Dealing with a network of a few hundred machines that used to be running 98, around 1 in 4 would suffer from this problem periodically.

I use XP Pro. This doesn't happen with linux, and I have switched out ALL (yes, CPU, RAM, Video card.. everyting) of the hardware (except the mobo itsself)and it still does it. I don't use it anymore, and when I did I didn't turn it off more than once a day so it wasn't a problem anyway.

............Could Jesus microwave a burrito so hot that he himself could not eat it?
