Ok, my friends and I like to play airsoft. We play in our neighborhood which has quite a few forests. Lately, one friend and I have gotten an advantage because we take the time to go explore to learn the lay of the land. The others have considered this unfair, so we have been looking throughout the neighborhood for more forests. I have only found one that nobody has been in, but I also found out there are deer in that forest. So, I am looking for an alterative to airsoft. We can't play paintball obviously. I tried to convice them to play with water guns, but I only talked to two and one didn't like to get wet. So, can you think of anything else that we could play in a neighborhood?

That soulds like a good idea, and we all have bikes, but the reason the forests are still there is because all of them have creeks/streams going through them. Not much room with those in the way.

Airsoft shoots a semi-solid pellet of somesort doesn't it? Nontoxic, and doesn't break the skin at range.

What is the problem with using these in an area where wildlife live? Chances are, if you guys are crashing around the woods playing airsoft, the deer isn't sticking around to get shot. Same thing for anything you are doing in those woods, deer don't stick around much, and unless you are setting out to hunt the thing, you shouldn't have a problem. Watch out if you do see it, make sure you are in an area it can't charge you.

I wouldn't be too worried about the wildlife, either.

However, I would worry about the legality of it--when I used to play around with airsoft guns with some friends we had the cops called on us a few times. Nothing came of it, but just watch out.

There are 3 or 4 deer in that forest, and I don't want to get into trouble for 'endangering wildlife" or something like that. Anything else?

Contact the forest services for the county that is in charge of that wood, and see what they have to say about pedestrians, and about raucos activity.

Dont guess what you can and cant do, find out.
