does anyone know any good game engines that give you everything you need to make a game and has a lot of different options for texturing, skin, etc.?

Depends on you and what you want to make.

For instance I found HGE which is really good for 2d games, it seems it gives you everything done.

Although it is completelly oriented for 2D and has no capabilities for 3d stuff

I heard there's an engine called "Source" that works pretty well.

Source is pretty good, but you might as well suggest the Unreal 3 engine... those puppies cost a pretty penny to licence!

As Vexorian said, it all depends on what you're wanting to use it for, though I'm guessing you're talking about a 3D engine. You might want to check out Irrlicht, Ogre or Crystal Space.
If at first you don't succeed, call it version 1.0You don't stop playing because you get old; you get old when you stop playing.

Ah, a free SDK costs a pretty penny? Why can't I have more of these pretty pennies? :(

If someone is asking here, chances are they're not going to be selling it as a full commercial game, so they'll be doing a mod with those. I haven't actually gotten around to looking at the source SDK yet, I should do that tonight maybe.
