Error message problem

I gave someone an exe I compiled with VC 2005 beta 2 and he gets the following error message when running it : "...the application could not start because the configuration is invalid. Try re-installing the application." How can this be solved ? Thx.
There is nothing that can't be solved. Just people that can't solve it. :)

I have had the same error and have been told that it is probably because MS don't want you distributing software made with their beta software (as you have not paid for it). The only way I have found to solve it is to use a different compiler.

I'm using DirectX9 libraries.
Which compiler can I use for compiling my code without getting this message ?

There is nothing that can't be solved. Just people that can't solve it. :)
