I was looking at some cold cathode kits for my case, and I was just curious where they draw their power from?

Your psu, hooked up with molex connecters probably.

Doesn't look like it connects to molex connectors.

Cut off the molex connector and attatch it to the wires? Does it take 5/12v?

Yes, I believe that is what it said.. 12v... how do you get a 12v connection from the PS?

There should be a 4-hole plug attached to the PSU. If you want a definite idea on what it is, it's the power cable inserted into your CD-ROM drive and hard drive.

I'm almost positive it's 12V.

So you plug just the two holes into the light?
Or do you have to wreck your power connector?

Just cut the yellow and one black wires cleanly off the connector and attatch them to the cathode.

I would be surprised that if it's in kit form it didn't have a molex connector though..

From what I've seen and read, cold cathodes use AC power. Since your computer runs on DC power, the CCs need an inverter. It's the inverter that is supposed to connect to the power supply (using the molex connectors discussed already).

What kit are you using?
Ok.
