Does anyone know of a good free mailing list provider? It's just a contact thing for a group of friends. I could host it myself if nesseccary, but it would be easier if I didn't have to. Just something to easily add/remove email address to, and send and email easily to the list. Any ideas?

I know it's pretty boring, but still... bump.

Outlook Express lets you create groups in your address book. What e-mail client are you using?

You can probably run GNU mailman on a spare web server somewhere.

Maybe I'll try Yahoo groups, but then I'll have to put up with their sigs etc.

The problem with using an email client is everyone on the list has to change/add addresses all the time.

If you want a free service, you'll be hard pressed to find one that /doesn't/ recoup its costs through email footers or something similar.

So what's wrong with using a standard message board like phpbb?
