I'm having difficulty exporting my Maya models and animations. Namely, I can't find an exporter that will hold on to my animation data so I can port it into my OpenSceneGraph or DirectX software. Thanks in advance!

collada (http://collada.org) is probably your best bet at the moment. version 1.4 beta does a pretty good job at extracting animation data. FBX is another possibility, though in my experiance that fails on some models...

Alternatively write your own exporter, there is a tonne of stuff on my website telling you how to do that http://robthebloke.org

if you can't find a proper exporter i would also suggest writing your own exporter. I did that myself (ok i'm not finished yet) and it isn't as hard as it sounds and rob the blokes homepage helped me a lot
