This is by far one of the scariest movies i have ever seen. I recomend it to any scary movie lover. I am perfectly ok with clowns, but this made me hate them for the time i watched it. He scares the shit out of me. Yeah, that movie did freak me out. I'm not really into scary movies like that, though.

The book is far scarier. It's too bad the ending is horrible. Steven King can never end his stories well.

I have heard that the book is really scary. I need to read it.

Isn't this movie about a huge spider and stuff?
If so, I've seen it, and it wasn't that scarry at all. I mean, I've been more scared by those flash things that pop up when you look at different images. :)

I think that you only saw Part II, which was a joke. Part I is much better.

yeah.. the ending was so horrible i didn't take any of the rest of the movie seriously afterwards.. was King responsible for that ending, or is it like that in the book as well?

Hmm.. I think i've seen part two, it was like 5 years ago so I don't remember much, but it was about some undergrounds with a spider and a silver bullet and stuff.
What was part one about?

Ya, clowns are the perfect horrow initiator. The first thing you think about when you see them is 'fun,' then out of left field comes the fright.

As has been said, the end leaves something to be desired but I do like how he(Stephen King) takes the ordinary and makes it extraordinary.

Happy coding.

I just hired this movie out on DVD (two actually) a few weeks back.
I know what you mean about the jerkily animated spider. That was just pathetic. Certainly makes the whole thing less scary.
I didn't find it that scary anyway. I think "Pet Semetary" was much scarier. But then I was much younger when I saw that.

That clown traumatised me for life when I was a child. My mum was one of those sick people who would watch horror movies with her 5 year old son by her side. She always used to threaten me that if i didnt behave IT would have come get me in the night and eat me, along with Chucky from Child's Play.
Though watching the Child's Play movies now will yield more laughter than anything.

If we are going to give good examples of Stephen King movies (there are not many of them. Acctually most movies made on his books are CRAP). I would like to add Christine and Misery to the list. The former kicks all other Stephen King movies arse.

IT freaked me out a lot when I was a kid. I am trying to find a way to see it again, but it's quite hard to find it for rent on a DVD around here. I'd like to show it to my girlfriend to creep her out too since it was really scary, especially the first part.

The book is much better. You can't capture the insanity of it all in a movie, you just can't.
