Team name: JESC Gaming Industries (note: this isn't a registered company, just a name used) Project name: Palu: Omens of Darkness Brief description: Palu: Omens of Darkness is a top down console-like medieval fantasy RPG. It will be single player as this is a learning project and I wish to have a single player game of some complexity under my belt before attempting anything more advanced. The title gives it an inherently dark theme and the story will most likely follow the path of some tragedy hitting Palu's (the main character's) home world requiring him to save it. There is plenty of room for the writer to change things, however. Target aim: Freeware Compensation: I'm in college so I don't have much money; if you get paid, it'll be very little (<$75). Please do not respond for financial reasons. Technology: Windows. Libraries: DirectX. Engine: Custom (in-development). Talent needed: Writer - will write the story for Palu: Omens of Darkness as well as character descriptions. writer will have the liberty to decide a great deal of the story as well as how many characters there are, what their role is, and other such details. Only one requirement in that regard, Palu is a male and is the main character. Team structure: just me so far. i'm a computer science major in college looking to create this as a learning project. I'd prefer to have a custom story made, however as this is a learning project I will gladly take offers from writers who already have stories written. If it appeals to me and matches what I feel is a single player medieval RPG, I will make the game to match the story. The writer will be credited and all work will be appreciated.
