web comic preference

This is a fairly straight forward thread. What kind of web comics do you prefer, any why? I'm sure that there are many more out there, but I find that there are two main types of web comic. There are the ones that are geared toward joke telling and the ones that are geared toward story telling. For instance: Penny Arcade. A fantastic comic that is geared toward the short comic with a good punchline, like a one-liner joke. Short and funny, with the occasional short story arc that has a joke every strip and another at the end of the arc. MegaTokyo, another great comic that I recently got into, that has longer story arcs and is more into the telling of a story and doens't always have the punchline to a joke in the last panel. Questionable Content is also another one that concentrates on the longer stories, but still does have a joke every strip. I like most types. At the moment I'm reading CtrlAltDel, Penny Arcade, Questionable Content, MegaTokyo, Exterminatus Now, Aikida and I occasionally take a look at W00tness to see if there's been an update. I also occasionally take a look at Dr McNinja. Do you find that you usually concentrate on a single type of web comic, or even a single one and don't bother with the rest? I actually find that while I enjoy all of them and I catch every update that I can for any of them, that I'm into MegaTokyo the most at the moment.

Ctrl-Alt-Del is the only one that's actualy caught my attention.

Questionable Content
Something Positive
Misfile
Megatokyo
Real Life Comics
Penny Arcade
Homestar Runner
Ctrl-Alt-Del
Qwantz (Dinasour Comics)
Men In Hats (R.I.P.)
Mac Hall
Applegeeks

Clearly my style is all over the place. Something Positive is very similar (in construction) to Questionable Content, with the difference being it's horribly depressing. Qwantz is definately the most esoteric of the lot. Misfile is just a crazy experiment I can't look away from (not unlike train-wrecks). Megatokyo is as old as the hills, and it scares me, being the non-anime, non-nerdy type of person I am (second point is debatable) how long I've been "reading". And by reading I mean going back to it every three months to read 12 more comics.

Questionable Content would have to be my favourite. It's like he stole my sense of humour and stole someone else's art skills and combined them.

Really? Is that all he updates?

Honestly, I've been reading MegaTokyo for a little over a week, and I read all the ones up there in 2 days, about 4 hours each day. Most of the time in the intervening week since then he's been doing something else, so there were no updates.

Is there only one update a week? Or am I just too tired to understand jokes at the moment?

I really liked CAD, but it's stopped being funny. I enjoyed the timing, before, and the jokes were always well done. Penny Arcade, on the other hand, was never something I liked.

Of course, Guy and Penguin is incredible, but currently defunct [depressed].

I've read a few others, including some that were more about story than jokes (NDA's comics) and loved them as well. A surprising amount of the joy for me is in the drawings. If I don't like them (PA), I won't read it.

I've had a pretty stable selection for a while now;

Ctrl-Alt-Del
Mac Hall
Penny Arcade
Real Life
Scary Go Round
Girly
Diesel Sweeties
Filthy Lies! (pretty much dead however [sad])
Misfile
Neex

I enjoy reading Questionable Content, but I think the art quality is somewhat dubious. The anatomy often looks very wrong.

Ctrl+Alt+Del's popularity often surprises me. It's pretty well drawn AFAICT but the humour often falls flat and is pretty cringeworthy.

I don't read any that haven't already been mentioned, but I have to concur that PBF is indeed most excellent.

Penny Arcade and Qwantz.com's Dinosaur Comics. The Dinosaur Comics archive is addictive...

PBF is probably the greatest thing I've ever come across humour-wise. I also enjoy 8-bit theater and Penny-Arcade among a few others. I'm a bit of a manga nerd, so I do enjoy reading MegaTokyo as well. Dominic Deegan is also pretty good for story.
Ok.
