basiaclly, i dont have access to the source code of the video game directly, im making a directX mod for Halo for PC which makes the enemy aliens glow... ive hooked d3d and got the NumVertices for the model (it doesnt seem to interfere with anything if i dont include Strides and prims, why fix whats not broken ehh?) i tried setting the material of the model: void DoGlow(IDirect3DDevice9* device, float R, float G, float B, float A, D3DPRIMITIVETYPE Type,INT BaseVertexIndex,UINT MinVertexIndex,UINT NumVertices,UINT startIndex,UINT primCount) { D3DMATERIAL9 mtrl; ZeroMemory(&mtrl, sizeof(mtrl) ); mtrl.Emissive.r=R; mtrl.Emissive.g=G; mtrl.Emissive.b=B; mtrl.Emissive.a=A; device->SetMaterial(&mtrl); device->SetRenderState(D3DRS_EMISSIVEMATERIALSOURCE,D3DMCS_MATERIAL); } but that didnt work....any suggestions on how to do this (note this is a d3d ***HOOK***)
