Sorry, I didn't mean it that way, it was an attempt at light hearted humour. Still, your "work" appears to consist of a stylish yet impractical site design and a couple of pages of notes. Not much compared to what you would expect of a programmer I'm sure. You need to give people a reason to join. What are you going to bring to the table? Also, you should have Read Before Posting if you wanted people to take you seriously.

I know I'm telling you what you don't want to hear, but in my experience a little criticism can go a long way.

I know I dont have anything "good" to offer now but every game should start from a certain point, so now I dont have a website, soon I will, untill then I start looking for new faces.

Maybe they meant DoS attacks?
Regardless, I don't think a completely realistic hacking simulation would be much fun, since hacking tends to be pretty darn tedious at times. Not to mention that most attacks are pretty much "fire and wait a while".

Every gaming genre has its own fans, so I'm sure that this game would catch its own crowd.

Side note: isn't the correct term crackers, the last article I read concluded the term hackers was better used when discussing very good programmers and crackers for the activities you're going to be simulating. But that's going off topic...

This kind of game also has moral issues, surely if people are using a hacking simulator its only a matter of time until they try their skills in the real world. Interesting idea none the less but I'm unsure about how viable it is.

The viability of this game is fairly good; the previously posted Uplink did pretty well.

And, since the "Read Before Posting" been posted, I don't know why the OP hasn't reformatted the post, yet.

this is an interesting idea and the perfect game for programmers since no art assets are needed... however for this to be good you would need a skilled hacker to be able to make it good... and most that i have seen that claim to be "skilled hackers" are nothing more than script-kiddies...

however to the op, format your post to what is posted in the "read before" section and mention what you have to offer to the team besides an idea.

There are already many games out there like this. I recently played one that was pretty good. BTW theres a site, I believe its something like hackthisbox.org that pretty much lets you hack real systems legally.

Most people dont know what you just said, when you computer has been hacked or cracked if you will, most people would say "damn some hacker killed my computer", so most people dont know that what im talking about in fact is cracking.

Now this thread isnt supposed to be about the game, it supposed to help me develop it, any of you guys interested at all ?
