Google Torture Sure, Google provides access to nearly all the public information on the web, but what about data people aren't willing to share? Google could enhance its core search engine by deploying goons and/or thugs to beat information out of people -- anything from the location of their valuables to interesting sports trivia. Finally you can search on terms like "why did my neighbor come home at 3 a.m. all last week" and expect to get some real answers.
From another Lore Sjöberg article. I'd personally use Google Torture a lot. Here's hoping that Google's Evil Twin will step up to the plate and release Google Anonymous Threatening Mail.

I remember Google when it was knee-high to a grass-hopper *reminisce*

It's a real-life denial of service attack, using a unique real-world vulnerability called "blunt force trauma".

It was a wonderful day for me when I found out where Lore had moved to from the Brunching Shuttlecocks.

Indeed. It was almost like losing Bill Watterson when I found out the site had shut down.
