Hello. I am a still bit of a green c++ programmer and especialy to SDL. I was making a simple game using some basic stuff learned from lazyfoos and I made a win and osx version and let a few people to try it. On my mac it worked fine, but when I gave it to a couple of friends, font would not show up at all. I was curious why and looked at my sdl stuff. Well, apparently I wasnt at the latest and was on some early 2.x SDL and my sdl_ttf was 1.12 :O Well, I upgraded SDL to 2.0.11 and sdl_ttf to 2.0.8! yay! Well, so I thought. Now I have the same problem as my friends did, font does not render at all. Well, I was stumped and thinking that maybe it was something wrong with my program. Well, then I just tried the basic lazyfoos default font tutorial and that fails to work as well. At this point I am not sure what I can do. The same code works and compiles on windows (using both Dev-C++ and .net 2003) and on one of my friends BSD box with no font problems. I am wondering if anybody has any workarounds or ideas. specs: iBook G4 PPC Xcode 2.3 using SDL, SDL_image, and SDL_ttf frameworks. Using 10.4u SDK.
