I've compiled in release mode and everything but they say it says failed to find MSVP71D.dll or whatever, something about that dll.

Well, the specific DLL name would be helpful, but the D suffix on the DLL name implies that it's still looking for a debug DLL.

Is one or more of your libraries that you are linked to a debug library?

They either need to get the VS redistributable package from microsoft, OR
you need to(illegally) include the required DLLs out of the VS package off your computer.
You can use Dependency Walker to find the DLLs that your progam links to so that you know what they are missing on their end.
