Not sure where else to post this. The neverwinter toolset is performing EXTREMELY slow for me. I am on a VERY nice computer, and the toolset and the game run like its a PC from the early 90's Anyone know how I can fix this? I really don't want to wait for the next neverwinter to come out given I am having alot of fun designing scenarios in the program, or was. I have not used it in a while. Trying to make even a large map (16x16) it is SO slow I can't even make anything. Just to zoom out one tick takes 15 seconds. Any advice?

I keep them pretty up to date. I have to admit I am a writer by trait so I miss alot about graphics settings etc.

How can I change that mode? Is it just the general game video options or are there different ones for the lev editor?

^ I am willing to wait for neverwinter 2, but I would really like to continue making scenarios with this version.

If anyone has any idea why it might be opperating so slow pls pls pls let me know

thanks

Have you tried hitting ctrl-alt-esc and reducing the application affinity to run on one CPU? Often that fixes idiotic timing bugs related to our scary new world of dual cores.

There's also some threads on the bioware forums that are the first google result for "neverwinter slow".

If it's a dual core it's probably a driver issue.

Have you installed the windows dual core hotfixes and AMD drivers all that crap? I had to do all that to get some games to work when I upgraded to my X2 3800.

haha been googline it for ages never thought to type in something that simple.

I will toy around with the dual core stuff.

Thanks sorry for my lack of info on this I am so busy right now and trying to fix this at the same time.

Thanks to all who have been supportive.

He means the five year old game runs as if he were playing it on a Pentium 133.
