I'm having 100mb/sec.

I suppose that explains how you are able to keep five of your threads in lounge's first page [grin]

But this site takes some time, secs to load pages.

I suppose that little m is for milli, not Mega? If not, then you should review your SI Prefixes and your common sense.

Sorry, it actually does look believable, given the chart on this page:
http://www.auditmypc.com/speedtest.asp.

I wasn't aware that speeds went up quite that high. I'm still living in the last millenium.

100Mbit is common in sweden. But the absolute favourite is 8 or 24 Mbit ADSL. You rarely come across people under 2Mbit. I'd say there are fewer people that have less then 2MBit than there are people without internet.

Yeppers... that's prob'ly right. I know of just one other person in my year at school who doesn't have broadband. Technically, I'm on 56kbps... *despairs of the horrible slowness induced by this* although right now it's being stupid and won't connect with more than 30.2 kbps. *sigh*

Makes downloading music a bitch. Infact, makes downloading ANYTHING a bitch!! I had to get my dad to download C# EE at his workplace [school, with nice fast connections] for me... it was going to take like five million years otherwise. Kekeke xD

Same here :)

But you can't get that at home over here in Croatia, I'm in a student home and our connection is limited by LAN. It could go higher. It's a dedicated fiber optic running from Student Home to the Faculty of Electronics and Computing which in turn has a dedicated fiber optic running to the national ISP.

I think I have optic fibers in this appartment too.

Australian ADSL is limited to 1.5Mbps unless you're lucky enough to be on an exchange that supports ADSL2+ (in which case you can maybe get to 24Mbps). So yeah, 1.5 megabit here.

He's wrongly talking about millibit here, but most likely he either means 100 Mb (100 megabit or 100000000 bits), or 100 Mib (100 mebibit or 104857600 bits).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binary_prefix

My own internet here is 10Mbit/s, but shared between some 150 people (it works surprisingly well though, I guess because not all 150 are downloading things at the same time).

Downstream 4200 Kbit, upstream 660 Kbit. I'm planning on getting 12Mbit soon.
