When creating a base console program with just about any Windows C IDE it inserts the 'system();' command with the argument "PAUSE". I was curious as to what other arguments Windows supports via the system() function call. I tried searching the web for a list but since 'system' is such a generic usage I couldn't find anything. Does anyone know where I might find a list?

there is no list. using system() is identical to typing something on the command line.
This space for rent.

Hrm, something I read put me under another impression.

Start -> Run -> "cmd" -> "help" will show you a list of the special commands (like "pause") that your version of the Windows command prompt (and thus system()) supports. (Anything else is assumed to be the name of a program to run.)
