This problem driving me crazy!!!! Developing a small 3D gameproject based on DirectX 9.0C Juni 2006 and DXUT. Project is started upon CustomUI (CC samples) with VCC 2005 Standard. Have implemented animated mesh. Everything works fine in my notebook. In my AMD the animated mesh draws without texture. Can't find any logical reasons to this. Maybe something with ATI Radeon 9600 and texture but I can't understand why my static meshes shows with texture and not the animated mesh??? If somebody have some idea about this it would be great! -------------------------------------------------------------------- HP Computer: Intel Celeron(R) M processor 1.40GHz RAM: 760 MB Graficcard: Mobile Intel 915GM/GMS,910GML Express Chipset, DACtype: internal, 128 MB Platform: Microsoft XP Professional GPlattform: DirectX9.0C juni 2006 -------------------------------------------------------------------- AMD Computer: AMD Athlon XP 2600+ 1.92 GHz RAM: 1 GB Graficcard: ATI Radeon 9600 Series AGP, DACtype: internal (400MHz), 128 MB Platform: Microsoft XP Home GPlattform: DirectX9.0C juni 2006

The problem is most likely with the code, not your machine. My guess is that there is something wrong with your implementation of animated mesh. In particular, I'm guessing that you are using some wrapper class which uses a shader to do animation (skinning) on the GPU (or CPU) and that shader needs to be modified to do texturing (and probably lighting, etc). At any rate, more info on how you've implemented (or what you are using for) animated meshes would help anyone trying to help you. Good luck.
I live in Palestine, but it's not in the country list, so I picked Zimbabwe.

Also, ATI is rather strict with certain things that NVidia isn't. I'm guessing Intel is similar to NVidia in that respect. But because of that your code isn't working (so blame the code, not the hardware). But as adelamro suggests code would help people, help you.

You have right about the code!

It's confusing with textured x-files.
Ones loading the x-file is not enough because UV (bitmapfile) also must loaded and the correct path must be given...(!)

HRESULT hr = D3DXCreateTextureFromFile(pd3dDevice, wszTexName,&newMeshContainer->exTextures);

Now everything works again!!!

Thanks anyway
