I'm developing a graphics engine and would like to know where it craches when someone else is tesing the engine. I use VS 8.0. How can I use the Error signature ? for example Offset : 0001837d to find what line of code is that ???

If the code is compiled as release code, then it's extremely difficult, you'll have to look at the dissasembly and try to spot code that looks familair (E.g. calls to DLLs, or string references).

If it's god debug info, then you can just run the exe in the debugger and break at the entry point, go to disassembly view, and go to that address. The debugger should annotate the assembly with source code lines, letting you see what line it refers to.

I found the MiniDumpWriteDump function in dbghelp.lib, I will try using that instead.

Thanks,
