So Capcom is having a little fit, and justifiably so. Okami was an amazing game. I didn't really think much of this system where one needs to be a member, to be nominated. Until I saw the MMO category that is... Auto Assault D&D Online Guild Wars Expansion Eve Online I haven't played Auto Assault, and heard Eve was amazing. The overwhelmingly obvious exclusion of World of Warcraft however, points to a large flaw in their nominee system. They claim to select the best examples of our industry, and I realize subscription numbers are not an indication of a notible game, however it is certainly not a mark of failure.

I side with Capcom. So those guys want you to pay to join their group, so that you can nominate your own game.

If the Academy of Arts & Sciences is only going to select what they consider the best in a certain category from a pool that doesn't represent what truly is out there, then it has no real world validity.

It's like having the "Best National Pizza Award" and having only nominees from New Jersey.

I'm with Capcom. AIAS is a scam.
