I am having some problems with OpenGL lights. I am a bit new to opengl, but i did not think it would be so complicated. I am basicly creating a point light as I understand in OGL, just setting the default spotCutoff value to 180 will create a point light. I have the position set up correctly, and I set up a material with a high specular and shininess. my problem is that the light instead of being projected on the ground (made of small polygons with correctly normalized normals) as a circle, it is projected as an infinited line towards the z = 1 direction! I made a spot light and it works perfecly, with the same values. just not the point light.

Could you provide a screenshot?

Have you programmed in Light Attenuation?
